Req ID 57719BR Business Title Maintenance Engineer II Business Medical Products Sub-Business Manufacturing Country US State/Province Indiana Location of Position Bloomington, IN Shift_ 1st Job Description Summary: The Maintenance Engineer will provide guidance and support to the equipment and facilities maintenance staff and will incorporate continuous improvements on facilities, equipment and processes. The Maintenance Engineer will also provide floor support and troubleshooting as required on specified lines, HVAC systems, Refrigeration systems, utilities and processes (both mechanical and electrical). The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for change control creation and management, managing Projects (vendor relations, procurement, and installation)<$50k and supporting operations through a maintenance role. This position reports to the Mgr, Engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities(these are primary responsibilities of the role and the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned): Support Manufacturing Department through improvements to manufacturing equipment and processes. Review equipment trends to identify areas of improvement related to yield, downtime, efficiency, etc. Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct scope approved projects. Participate in the execution of new product transfers and capital projects. Create and manage change control protocols. Participate in FAT's (Factory Acceptance Testing) Support lean initiatives. Maintenance metric reporting. Support plant shutdown activities. Ensure training compliance. Investigate and analyze customer problems and incorporate improvement suggestions/fixes. Act as a backup for maintenance supervision. Job Requirements Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Qualifications): BS in Engineering required, preferably Mechanical or Electrical 2 years related experience required Knowledge of the basic principles in various engineering disciplines. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.) Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Familiarity with PLC logic perferred. Must know how to effectively run projects, coordinate contractors, and direct the activities of a project. Must have experience in a \"hands on environment\" capable of troubleshooting complex equipment and systems.
